Fashions Finest is all about fashion, entertainment and creating opportunities within the Fashion Industry. They feature and support emerging, and established designers and creatives and create a platform where they can showcase their brand to a wider audience.
During this seasons London Fashion Week the Fashion Finest London Fashion Week off schedule show will be taking place on the 17th & 18th September at two beautiful venues in London. This follows on from Fashions Finest inaugural London Fashion Week shows in February 2011 where they were immediately recognised as an official off schedule show.
There experience spans over 15 years of fashion show production experience, and are renowned for discovering new talent and giving opportunities to those that would not normally be able to afford to participate at London Fashion Week. The shows attract press, buyers and fashionistas from around the world who want to see the new trends that are being developed by the designers that Fashions Finest feature.
We will be heading down there to check out the African brands on their schedule as it is looking to be a good showcase from Africa. Shows on 17th September are aimed at new and emerging and international designers that have been established for more than nine months and have already done at least one fashion show. In particular on this day will be shows from designers who have a relation to Africa Day such as Jose Hendo who we recently featured and who uses bark cloth from Uganda and promotes ethical production and sourcing in their design process; also Mzansi Designers Emporium – a South Africa designer who recently was invited to showcase his Afrocentric designs at the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles; from Ghana will be KIKI Clothing – founded by fashion designer, Titi Ademola who manufactures all products to a high standard in Ghana with a popular store in Accra, Ghana. As well as the above will be Afrikanus from Angola, Smart Designers from Zambia, Ahdookeh a Nigerian designer who recently showcased at Africa Fashion Week London (see our report here) and TEECEE Shoe N Clothing and Jo Black Craze also from Nigeria and more….
FF is produced and choreographed by Mahogany Events and they feel it is important that new designers are given an affordable opportunity to be a part of the London Fashion Week experience, and Fashions Finest is one of the few companies that give fashion designers this opportunity.
