What is it all about? Well its focused on South Africa and is a colaboration with South Africa’s top value fashion retailer, Mr PRICE and South Africa’s ELLE magazine and their search to find the hottest local design talent.

Last years winner was Cindy Armstrong an presented a collection called 031 Collection. She won the award of a R20,000 cash prize, an internship with Mr Price and the chance to design an exclusive range for selected Mr Price stores.
The fashion event was styled by supermodel Agyness Deyn who added an air of social responsibility to the event by a visit to Zilungisele Primary School in Groutville to hand over a mobile library on behalf of the Mr Price RedCap Foundation and its RedCap Schools Project.
The catwalk event showcased the work of notorious designers Sibu Msimang, Terrence Bray, Amanda Laird Cherry, to name a few and brought alive Durbans East Coast with a night of fashion and entertainment. As winner, Cindy Armstrong put it, via a quote from fashion and style icon Coco Chanel: “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, the street. Fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, and is happening!
The deadline is looming.
