Ethical Fashion Innovation Award – deadline approaching COMPETITION

The deadline is fast approaching for 2011 edition of the EFF INNOVATION award which reward and promote pioneers. It was initiated by the Ethical Fashion Forum an organisation that aims to support new emerging designers and businesses particularly in the ethical fashion arena so the awards are based firstly on original, innovative, yet outstanding design, having quality product is also necessary, but most important is for  your design business to have a strong relation to social and environmental sustainability.

INNOVATION 2011 has been going since 2008 and every year just seems to be getting better and better! This year it is an even more exciting one as it includes an INNOVATION USA category for the first time and holds prizes that will just blow your mind! For example winners will have the opportunity to showcase in New York in September at the prestigious Nolcha Fashion Week! The winners will gain enormous exposure with their own branded boutique like stand at NOlcha Fashion Week which is worth more than 6k and the “Pièce de résistance” is the press coverage by!

Sika Designs inspired by the rich and diverse culture of Ghana, West Africa. Fabrics for Sika collections are sourced from Ghana, with a focus on traditional skills such as batik, tie dye and wax print. And garments are produced in Ghana by skilled tailors and seamstresses enabling Sika to ive back to a community in Ghana.
