With my upcoming soon to release fashion book this event as part of the Earls Court Festival – 19th June – 17th July 2011,  is one not to be missed.

It involves 3 well respected women involved in fashion who will be discussing in the area of fashion writing, styling and publishing. The women we at AFG are excited to be meeting on the day are:

Helen Jennings, editor of one of our favourite glossy magazines showcasing African fashion and culture – ARISE magazine, will be there and she will be talking about writing her first book New African Fashion (launching September 2011) and also on the day to day work in running such an awesome magazine. (AFG ♥ Arise Magazine)

Sabrina Henry, as well as being a freelance fashion stylist also works as fashion editor of ARISE magazine (what a job!) Her focus of discussion will include her role at Arise Magazine but also to give an insider view on shooting ‘fabulous’ fashion shoots….dahling.

Maia Adams is the last speaker and she lectures in Fashion Journalism at Central Saint Martins as well as at University of the Creative Arts. She is also a freelance writer and editor contributing  fashion and lifestyle articles to publications which include British Vogue, Elle, The Guardian, to name a few. She will be discussing the topic of fashion jewellery and her 2010 published book on catwalk and couture jewellery.
