Kasha Magazine

Posted on May 15, 2011

Nancie Mwai is a Kenyan fashion stylist and blogger who simply loves fashion. Her blog The Fashion Notebook is her personal style diary and has only been around for a year (April 2010) and already has over 230 followers on the blog, and 2596 followers on its facebook.. Very, very impressive! She’s done so well with it that it won the “Beauty Award” in Kenya Blog Awards in 2010.

She tells us that it is ‘a fashion blog where you can find all things fashionable, stylish and trendy and my daily outfits and events attended. Also you get to see exclusive pictures of shoots and projects I’m working on.’

She was always interested in creating a platform where Kenyan ‘fashionistas‘ could express their creativity and so with photographer Leon Muli, fashion designer Wambui Mukenyi and services of Kehl Design Agency they came together and created Kasha Magazine.

The word “KASHA” is a Swahili word that means “a storage space for clothes”. Kasha Magazine has over 750 followers on its facebook page and it was launched as an online fashion magazine that focuses on Kenyan and African fashion and art, spotlights upcoming and established designers, stylists and makeup artists both locally and in the Diaspora, and praises itself as Kenya’s first online fashion publication.

The preview images of the soon to launch magazine are slick, professional and very trendy. Stunning!

Looking forward to the website upload. Nancie keep us posted!
